Dr Matthew Rees is a Haematologist specialising in myeloma and amyloidosis. He graduated from the University of Melbourne's MD program at the top of his class in 2014 and trained at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Austin Health, and Royal Melbourne Hospital, before completing an advanced dysproteinaemias fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. His research focuses on immunotherapy for plasma cell disorders and organ recovery strategies in AL amyloidosis. He is a Myeloma Working Group member of the Australasian Leukaemia Lymphoma Group (ALLG) and disease lead for AL amyloidosis at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne.
